周囲の環境をその身に映しだす生きもののようなインクの水滴。薄く透明なフィルム越しにあるそれを、私は指先で潰す。水滴は消えて、後には様々な事象を想起させる雲のようなシミができる。作品の被写体はイメージの消滅と発生の間にあるこのインクのシミです。
Ink droplets as living creatures reflecting their surroundings on themselves. I smash them with my fingertips through a thin transparent film until they disappear. In return, the droplets leave behind a cloud-like stain whose shape can be associated with something else in a viewer’s mind. I photograph these ink stains as they exist “between the disappearance and occurrence” of images.
